We are a graphic design studio within a top ten design/architectural firm in Los Angeles seeking an intern to assist our studio directors with a wide range of graphic projects. An ideal candidate would be interested in branding, print, environmental and digital design projects. We are seeking a candidate who can successfully integrate creative and production roles in a collaborative environment.
Specific skills:
-can bring a project from concept to completion and can effectively take direction from others.
-is willing to perform some administrative duties, as required by the studio.
-has strong layout skills and a clean, simple design aesthetic.
-can create an amazing design from scratch without use of vector stock or stock photography.
Mandatory Requirements:
Student of or Recent Degree in Graphic Design or Related Field
Abilities in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat CS4+ in a PC centric environment
Knowledge of Adobe Flash, Dreamweaver and InDesign CS4+
Comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Additional “Bonus” Skills:
Technical knowledge of web-based technologies such as HTML, Flash, CSS and Java Script
Knowledge of AutoCAD 2007+ and SketchUp
Interest in Architecture and Interior Design
Interest in Signage and Large Format Graphics
Ability to hand sketch

If you want to earn academic credit for the internship, you must be a student in the DCA program for at least three consecutive quarters, be near their last quarter of study, and have had a portfolio review.
