The movement to provide some of the world’s poorest communities with affordable computers has grown vastly, including recent initiatives by the Indian government to release a $35 tablet, and development of the solar-powered iSlate by Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University in collaboration with Rice University.
We are looking for supporters to build a powerful mentorship application for these platforms – together. Our goal is to launch an open-source application by the end of 2011.
We need your help. We need designers, educators, engineers, thinkers, artists, philanthropists and marketers to work with us in making this a meaningful, compelling and impactful application. We have events scheduled throughout 2011 to gather with fellow supporters and move this mission forward.
