Photos of Si Scott's design process
Yes, that's right... for the first time ever (I think it to be true - if not, I welcome correction) you can see the process of designing a UCLA Extension catalog cover. And, you can see it before it's even released.
Recently, our very own Scott Hutchinson was tasked with commissioning and art directing designers for the esteemed catalog cover each quarter. The first cover of this collaboration is coming this summer and we've got some photos to prove it.
The big reveal: The UCLA Extension Summer Quarter 2011 catalog will be designed by Si Scott.
You may remember him from his visit and talk with DCA students last year, as arranged by Lutska Mamos. His work is incredible, inspired and often 3-D. You can see it on his website.
These photos above are of his hand-made work done in the process of creating the next catalog cover. His tools? Paper, scissors and tape. You'll see the finished product around April 11 when the catalog is released.
What do you want to know about the process for future covers? What would you ask the designers?
