Carin Goldberg is Awesome

I just went to the library and checked out a few books, including "Jailbird" by one of my favorite authors, Kurt Vonnegut. I just need his black humor these days... Anyway, I was admiring the distinctive cover:




I decided to see who designed it. Yes, Carin Goldberg. I then read her profile at AIGA by Julie Lasky and checked out the many images she's responsible for, including this one:




Remember? I remember. I remember Madonna then.


Anyway, even more beautiful to me is this invitation she sent to her friends for a New Year's party at her house, which is the first image you'll find on the AIGA page for the 2009 AIGA Medal she won (please excuse the passive tense). It's so beautiful! I love design with words because I love words.
