Scotch Tape Teaser

I was in the elevator with Suzanne, the ArcID advisor, when I noticed a sad poster, face down on the floor. When I picked it up I said - Hark! This is but a poster for an AIGA event! I must rescue it.

And so I did. The poster lives on in the east elevator with fresh tape to hold it high and proud. Through the magic of technology you can see it here too. She is looking right at you. Yes, YOU. If you'll read the details, you'll see this panel is hosted by our very own Michael Dooley. Go!

Everything you wanted to know about this talk is at aigalosangeles.org.

  1. Much thanks for rescuing the poster [design by AIGA/LA's Jason Adam] from being trounced upon, White Boards, as well as for plugging my Panel. It was amazingly popular... just imagine, there were more design people than comics people hanging out at L.A.'s grandest comics store for two entire hours. And they all played well together; we didn't even need to call for a time out. AIGA/LA is now thinking about making Comics/Design at Meltdown the first of an ongoing series.

Incidentally, that smoking, hot devil girl is actually a crop of a photo of a Coop painting I'd shot during this past spring's "Exploring L.A. Design" class I conducted for UCLAx, when we visited his studio in the Brewery.
