Designs by Erin Zamrzla.
When Scott sees the title of this post he may shudder, but there's room enough in this graphic design program for both of us. I'm the semi-Luddite type and he's the I'm-going-to-stand-in-line-before-Apple-opens-type (as he did for the iPad). Also, that's a lot of dashes.
Anyway, I have an i-Touch which to me is the mini version of the iPad, which is fine but would be better if it were a phone - although for a while I did enjoy air hockey and the falling jewels game. Also the battery doesn't last too long. This is neither here nor there really.
What I'm trying to say is, You know what i-Things aren't to me? Pretty. I know this is arguable, and I like their simple design and all that. I'm a big Apple fan. But I don't want to stand in the store for hours picking things up in my hand, oohing and ahhing, like I do in a fine stationary store, where I might find things like this:

I mean, it's just so sweet and pretty. And, often eco-riffic. It just so happens that this talented bookbinder, Erin Zamrzla, will be teaching Handmade Books in the summer. You can make sweet things too! And, if her DIY guides are any indication, she will be able to give clear instruction.
If you make something, send us a photograph!

Plenty of room, and I think this would be a great class to produce some ipad holders, the apple one is so dull.
