I thought about reworking Lawrence's email for this post, but he says it so well, why would I? Here is the info he sent me about a search for graphic design interns:
It is a great project for a great cause at a great agency. I believe we are hiring 2 ACCD recent graduates this week & we are looking for more + seeking interns.
Skills leaning toward web - This would be applying the brand id to web page layouts - Not coding and programming. But the designer we need should have a strong sense of functionality, user experience, and typographical organization for web.
An overall brand ID has been established for this project - these designers will be tasked with expanding that brand to other components of the campaign - as well as concepting their own new design solutions for off-shoots of the project. The project is a little similar to the (RED) campaign that GAP ran - but different. It is for a nationwide campaign on volunteerism. The exposure on this project will be very wide so it will be a strong portfolio piece.
Technically they will need to be ready to run using the Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator - not so much Dreamweaver.
They should direct inquiries to Bess Devenow at bessdevenow@gmail.com.
Thank you so much,
Lawrence [Azerrad]
